Sacred Art

Wadjet

Wadjet

My first sacred painting. I conceived the idea of creating these around my property as a way of getting to know and serve my own land when quarantine first started. I chose Wadjet, the cobra goddess protector of Lower Egypt for this spot because this cluster of rocks is home to many of her children 🐍 (thankfully not the venomous kind where I live). The stylized symbol of her eye (upper right) was one of the most widely used symbols of protection in ancient Egypt.

I have a few more planned for the months before the snow begins to fall again here in Vermont.

I hope to add sacred art to my offerings next summer, so begin thinking of what images speak to your soul!
