Sample Site Visits
I had the privilege to visit Kristy Scott of Krystalline Earth Healing at her family land on the shore of Lake Memphremagog. The morning of the visit, before I drove there I was receiving a vision of a First Nations camp on a hill above the lake with beautiful mountain views. There was a central fire, surrounded by wigwams and fish drying racks and children running. There were birch dugout canoes pulled up on the beach below the hill. When I arrived Kristy showed me a stone hammer head that she had found buried on the beach and was kind enough to let me hold onto it as we walked. I was really struck by Kristy‘s knowledge of the land, the animals and trees and how reverently she spoke about them. It was winter and everything was covered with quiet snow that only amplified the sacred feeling of the place. The photos are of Indian Point, overlooking the lake where I believe the camp I saw was located. Kristy stops after showing it to me to offer tobacco to the spirits of the people who had lived there.
There was one spirit in particular who I felt walking with us, who had used the stone hammer I held in my hand. He had been a guide in the local area, and he had an affinity for Kristy because of how connected she was to the land and because she acts as a guide there as well. She understands how his people lived in close relationship to the land, and he hopes that way of life will return and that people will “walk softly“. Like so many spirits, he wishes to be remembered, along with the true history of that place and the first people to live there. Below is a picture of the sketch Kristy received:
Besides the spirit of the Walker, I also perceived many place memories on Kristy’s land, not just of the First Nations people but of farm workers from the mid 1800’s and early 1900’s. I saw an old sawmill and clairaudiently perceived men talking, shouting, and singing in French as they worked. I saw people maple sugaring and lots of other hard work going on. Kristy did some research after my visit and found out that indeed her ancestors had come from Canada and brought workers with them. Below is a picture she sent me of her great grandparents:
Kristy’s feedback: “So happy to have had you! Let’s do it again! I’m so glad to know Walker has an affinity to me because I cherish the land as much as he did…you are amazing! You have rocked my world!”
Bear Mountain
I visited Nicole of Bear Mountain Reiki at her home and healing space in the shadow of Bear Mountain, on the Canada/Vermont border. She is an incredibly gifted Reiki Master Teacher and during our reiki session I saw 2 spirits (and one Archangel!) in her healing room. The morning of the visit before I left my home I had the Indigenous spirits of the land show me ‘the bear in the sky’, the constellation Ursa Major.
Here are the notes Nicole received for her site visit:
Nicole’s feedback: “Wow! This was incredible! Thank you for helping the boy. I’m still amazed! I’ve always felt the presence of a small boy, not knowing who he is. Using sage helped some but I’m so happy he’s moved on. Glad to have had your help all around!”
Instead of a sketch, I was able to paint on a piece of slate Nicole had found on her land, showing her favorite white birch trees and the constellation over Bear Mountain as the spirits had showed me.
