Rainbow Connection
Over the holidays I had the honor of working with a client who is dating a widower. She wondered if his late wife might come through and affirm that she was ok with the new relationship. In our consultation, I informed her that I would reach out, but she may choose not to communicate with me and I may instead connect with another spirit surrounding her. After we ended our call, I took a moment to send my awareness out into the ether and invite this woman’s spirit to speak to me if she wished. I knew no details or any other information about the client’s partner or his late wife.
As it turns out, she was open to communication. While driving alone one night to pick up dinner for my family, I suddenly began receiving a vision of a woman with a brown ponytail. She showed me herself hugging two children, a boy and a girl, so tightly. My children. I felt such strong love and connection, and I understood that her primary goal was to protect them. I wondered if this was the woman my client wanted to connect with, and then I wondered how long my client had been dating this man. 5 MONTHS! I heard this clairaudiently immediately and so strongly, I was surprised. I was curious, so I sent a message to my client asking if she’d been dating this man for about 5 months and if he had 2 children. “Omg yes 5 months today Sarah! He has 2 kids yes, a boy and a girl, and his late wife did have a brown ponytail.” Now that I knew this was the spirit connected to this family, I was ready to sit down to do the reading. I approached the reading by pulling one Tarot card each for the woman’s family members, and one for my client to help me access messages from the woman to each person. Several things came through as signs for them to watch for from her, including rainbows, butterflies, snakes for her daughter (my client later confirmed her daughter loves snakes), and a certain song. I included a rainbow in the sketch I did, which was of the first vision I received of her hugging her children. The green aura surrounding them is the energy of love.
My client later told me that on their first date, my client, this man and his children had seen a rainbow while driving and the daughter had exclaimed “Look, a rainbow! It must mean that mom is okay with this.” (It also came through that the daughter is a sensitive and can hear and feel mom)
The last Tarot card I pulled was for the message to my client. I turned the card over and it was The Lovers. As soon as I saw it I burst into tears. It was such an amazing affirmation that she is totally ok with the relationship. She is very grateful for the love my client had been showing her children. She still wants to be a part of this family she created and included in celebrations and remembrances, and new occasions as well. I advised my client that any of them could ask for something very specific if they wanted a sign from her, that way there would be no doubt about the validation when they received it.
It was a huge honor to do this reading. It took a big emotional toll on me as someone who is also a mother. I shed many tears over the week I was connected to her spirit, between the consultation, sketch and reading. It was a beautiful thing to experience such intimacy with this family’s grief and love. My tears were my compassion and empathy and feeling all of it is part of the gift I give to the clients I work with. It is my way of honoring them and their exquisitely human experience.
